Germinazioni
La Installazione è composta da vecchi libri in cui sono stati messi a germogliare i semi di tutti i cereali, frutta e verdura consumati da me. Ho raccolto i semi tutti i giorni per un anno. Il lavoro è concepito specificamente per il Palazzo del Bo, sede storica dell'antica Università di Padova. Il luogo è un simbolo di studio, ricerca e cultura per la città e per le migliaia di studenti che provengono da ogni parte del mondo. L'installazione è un'opera viva che deve essere annaffiata tutti i giorni per restare tale e similmente sia la cultura che il cibo, che sono entrambi nutrimenti, hanno bisogno di cure costanti per svilupparsi e crescere.
GERMINATIONS
The installation is made with books in which seeds of fruit and vegetables eaten by me have been sown. I collected the seeds daily for one year. The work is conceived specifically for the Unoversity Palazzo del Bo, the historical building wich still houses the ancient University of Padua. The Palace is symbol of study, research and culture for the City and for the thousands of students caming from all over the world. The installation is alive work so it needs to be watering every day. Culture and food are both nutrients, that they need constant care too to develop and grow.
